MARTEL PREMIUM · TWO-CHANNEL TRANSCRIPTION · SKU 10455
Hear your mask, the room, or both together. A complete transcription kit that puts separate-channel listening on your screen and playback control at your feet.
Court reporters and voice writers know the value of hearing the right source at the right moment. When your digital recorder captures your mask and the room on separate left and right channels, the Martel 2-Channel All-in-One Transcriber lets you isolate either recorded channel or hear both together. Review your dictation, check a witness’s answer, and return to the passage you need—without repeatedly reaching for the mouse to control playback.
The dedicated Left, Both, and Right controls are the feature to look for in this two-channel edition. Choose which recorded source you want to hear, then continue transcribing.
Actual software interface, with orange highlights added to identify the channel controls.
Hear only the left recorded channel. If your mask is recorded on the left, focus on your dictated words.
Hear the left and right recorded channels together—your mask and the room in one playback.
Hear only the right recorded channel. If the room is recorded on the right, review the proceeding audio.
Your recorder determines which source is on each channel. If your mask and room are recorded in the opposite arrangement, select the corresponding button. Separate-channel listening requires those sources to have been recorded separately.
The Martel transcriber plays your original supported recording without downgrading or recompressing it into a lower-quality copy. Selecting a channel, adjusting playback speed, changing listening volume, or replaying a passage changes how you listen. Your original audio file remains unchanged.
The included Infinity IN-USB-3 foot pedal gives you three familiar playback functions: move backward, play/pause, and move forward. Replay a name, pause to finish a sentence, then continue—all while keeping your hands available for typing and editing.
The channel buttons select what you hear. The pedal controls where you listen in the recording. That straightforward division keeps the workflow easy to understand, from the first passage to your final review.
Pedal actions are configurable. The sequence above describes the functions, rather than fixed physical button assignments.
Your kit includes the Lanier MP555 headset, Martel SKU 1209, with lightweight under-chin styling, foam earpieces, inline volume control, and a mono/stereo switch. Its 3.5 mm plug connects to a compatible computer audio connection.
TWO LICENSES INCLUDED
Install the included Martel 2-Channel software on two separate compatible Windows computers. Set up your office computer and a second workstation without purchasing a second software license.
The package includes two software licenses, one Infinity foot pedal, and one Lanier headset.
Pair this kit with the Martel Two Channel Recorder for Stenomask Reporters, or use compatible two-channel files from your existing digital recorder. Preserve the mask-and-room separation you recorded, then choose which channel to hear during transcription.
Recorder, mask microphone, room microphone, and computer are sold separately. This listing is for the transcription software, pedal, headset, and two computer licenses.
Can I listen to my mask without the room channel playing?
Yes, when your mask and room are recorded on separate left and right channels. Select the channel containing your mask. You can then switch to the room channel or hear both together.
Does this separate voices that were recorded together?
The software selects existing recorded channels. Voices already mixed onto the same channel cannot be separated by the Left and Right buttons.
Does it downgrade my recording?
No. It plays your original supported audio without creating a lower-quality, recompressed working copy. Playback controls leave the original file unchanged.
Do two licenses mean two complete hardware kits?
You receive two software licenses for two separate computers, plus one Infinity foot pedal and one Lanier headset.
What computer connections do I need?
A compatible Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer, an available USB connection for the Infinity pedal, and a compatible 3.5 mm headset connection or appropriate computer audio adapter. A computer and any required adapter are not included. Confirm compatibility if your workflow depends on an uncommon or proprietary audio format.
Does the software type the transcript for me?
This is a playback and review system for manual transcription. You listen and type; the channel controls and foot pedal help you work through the recording efficiently.
