How we collect, use, disclose, protect, and give you choices concerning personal information.
Effective and last updated: September 11, 2026
Privacy at a glance
We do not sell personal information for money. We use personal information to operate our store, process and deliver orders, provide customer and technical support, prevent fraud, comply with law, analyze site performance, and, where permitted, market Martel products and services.
Google Analytics 4 and Google Analytics remarketing are enabled. These technologies can use cookies and identifiers for analytics and advertising purposes. Our Ecwid cookie-consent banner is enabled so visitors can accept, partially accept, or decline non-essential tracking choices presented by the banner.
Support-text privacy: Mobile numbers and SMS consent collected for customer-support text messages are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is optional and is not required to submit a support request, make a purchase, or register.
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes the privacy practices of Martel Electronics Sales, Inc., doing business as Martel Electronics ("Martel," "we," "us," or "our"), when you visit or use our websites, online store, customer-support forms, accounts, checkout, communications, and related services that link to this Policy (collectively, the "Services").
This Policy applies to personal information we process in connection with the Services. It does not control the independent privacy practices of third-party payment, financing, shipping, analytics, advertising, or other providers when they act for their own purposes. Their privacy notices may also apply.
If you do not agree with this Policy, you may choose not to use optional features that require personal information. Certain information is necessary to complete purchases, deliver orders, provide requested support, or comply with law.
The information we collect depends on how you interact with Martel. We may collect the following categories:
Sensitive information. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. Some information treated as sensitive under certain laws may be processed when necessary to complete a transaction, secure an account, prevent fraud, provide requested support, or comply with law. Payment credentials are generally handled by the applicable payment provider rather than intentionally stored by Martel in ordinary website records.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, full payment-card numbers, card security codes, passwords, medical information, or other unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary email, chat, or support forms.
We may collect personal information:
We may use personal information for the following purposes:
Our store uses cookies and similar technologies for functions such as shopping-cart operation, security, preferences, analytics, and advertising. Some cookies are necessary for the store to function; others may be controlled through the cookie-consent tools available on our site.
Current analytics configuration
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic, use of the store, conversions, and site performance. Google Analytics remarketing is enabled. Google Analytics Advertising Features can use first-party cookies or identifiers together with Google advertising cookies or other identifiers to recognize prior interactions, create audiences, measure advertising, and support personalized or interest-based advertising where permitted.
You can use the Ecwid cookie-consent banner to accept, partially accept, or decline the tracking choices presented by the banner. You may also use browser controls and Google's available advertising and Analytics opt-out controls.
Third parties may collect information through cookies or similar technologies on our Services when their tools are enabled, including analytics, payment, fraud-prevention, or advertising providers. We do not control all cookies or technologies set by third parties acting independently, and their own privacy notices apply to their processing.
If we materially change the analytics or advertising technologies used by the store, we will update this Policy or provide additional notice where required.
We may disclose personal information to categories of recipients that help us operate the business or complete your transaction, including:
Service providers may process information only for the purposes for which it is disclosed to them, subject to their agreements with us and applicable law. Some providers also act independently for certain activities; their own terms and privacy notices may apply.
Martel does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
Privacy laws can define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" more broadly than an exchange for money. Because Google Analytics remarketing and similar advertising technologies can involve disclosure of online identifiers or activity for cross-context behavioral advertising, those disclosures may be treated as "sharing," "sale," or targeted advertising under some laws.
Where applicable law gives you a right to opt out, we will provide and honor the legally required choice. You may also decline applicable advertising or analytics cookies through our cookie-consent banner. If we are legally required to recognize a valid browser-based opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, we will process that signal as required by applicable law.
We do not knowingly sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising the personal information of a person we know is under the age at which opt-in authorization is required by applicable law.
Payment and financing providers may collect information directly from you when you choose their services. For example, Authorize.Net may process credit or debit card payments, PayPal may process PayPal and related payment options, and Affirm may collect information necessary to evaluate and provide financing.
Martel may receive information necessary to manage the order, such as transaction identifiers, payment or authorization status, financing status, billing contact information, fraud or risk results, and masked account details. We do not ask you to send complete card numbers or card security codes through ordinary email or customer-support forms.
The payment or financing provider's privacy notice governs its independent collection and use of information.
Customer-support text messages are optional. If you separately consent to support follow-up text messages, we may use your mobile number to communicate about the support request or related service.
No mobile information or SMS opt-in data and consent collected for support texting will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may use vendors acting on our behalf solely to route, deliver, secure, or support the messaging service as permitted by law.
SMS consent is not a condition of purchase, account registration, or submission of a support request. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of support texts using the opt-out instructions provided with the messages.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to fulfill transactions, maintain accounts, provide warranty and support services, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and meet tax, accounting, legal, or regulatory requirements.
Retention periods vary by record type and may depend on the life of an account, warranty, support relationship, legal requirement, dispute, security need, or backup cycle. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, de-identify, anonymize, or securely retain it until deletion is practicable.
Deletion requests are subject to lawful exceptions, including records we must keep to complete transactions, provide warranty service, detect security incidents or fraud, comply with tax or legal obligations, exercise legal rights, or maintain required business records.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information appropriate to the nature of the information and our operations. We also use service providers that maintain their own security controls.
No website, transmission, payment system, network, or storage technology can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot promise absolute security or guarantee that unauthorized parties will never defeat security measures.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for using a secure device and connection when accessing the Services.
Our Services are intended for adults and professional, business, government, education, and consumer purchasing contexts. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 or knowingly use personal information of children for targeted advertising in violation of applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in a manner that requires parental consent or deletion, contact us at law@marteldigital.com.
Depending on where you live and the law that applies to Martel, you may have rights concerning your personal information, which can include:
How to submit a privacy request: Email law@marteldigital.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and describe the right you wish to exercise. You may also use any privacy-request form or additional method we make available on the website.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests. Verification information will be used for verification, security, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and direct verification with you.
We will respond within the time required by applicable law. Certain requests may be denied or limited where a lawful exception applies, and we will provide any explanation or appeal information required by law.
California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). This Policy identifies the categories of personal information collected through the Services, the categories of third parties to whom information may be disclosed, the process for reviewing or requesting changes to information, our tracking disclosures, and the effective date of this Policy.
California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act. If Martel meets the legal definition of a covered "business" for the applicable period, California residents have the rights provided by the CCPA/CPRA, including rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and receive nondiscriminatory treatment for exercising those rights.
| California category | Examples we may collect | Typical purposes / disclosures |
|---|---|---|

| Customer records information | Contact, billing, shipping, business and transaction information | Fulfillment, support, accounting, warranties, legal compliance |
| Commercial information | Purchases, products viewed, quotes, returns, support and warranty history | Order management, customer service, analytics, marketing where permitted |
| Internet or electronic activity | Page views, searches, device/browser data, interactions, cookies, analytics events | Security, analytics, site improvement, remarketing or advertising where permitted |
| Geolocation | Approximate location from IP and delivery location | Fraud prevention, localization, delivery, analytics |
| Audio, visual, or electronic information | Screenshots, files, recordings, or images voluntarily provided for support | Technical support, troubleshooting, dispute resolution |
| Professional information | Company, school, agency, job title, purchasing role | Business, education, government orders and support |
| Inferences | Interests or audience segments inferred from site interactions | Analytics, personalization, remarketing or advertising where permitted |
| Sensitive personal information | Limited sensitive information may be processed when necessary for payment, account security, fraud prevention, or support | Used for permitted operational purposes, not to infer characteristics |
Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. As explained above, certain advertising or remarketing disclosures may be considered "sharing" or "sale" under California law even when no money is exchanged. Where the CCPA applies and a disclosure constitutes sale or sharing, California consumers may opt out using the mechanism we make available and any qualifying opt-out preference signal required by law.
Shine the Light. California residents may request information permitted by California Civil Code Section 1798.83 concerning disclosures of certain personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes. Martel does not disclose mobile SMS opt-in data to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
If we are subject to the CCPA for the applicable period, we will maintain the request methods, notices, response procedures, and other mechanisms required by that law.
Residents of Virginia and other states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of personal data, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling, subject to the scope, thresholds, definitions, and exceptions of the applicable law.
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal our decision on a privacy request, email law@marteldigital.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal" and identify the request you are appealing. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right granted by applicable law.
If privacy laws in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or Canada apply to our processing of your personal information, you may have additional rights under those laws.
Where required, our legal bases for processing may include performance of a contract, steps requested before entering a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, consent, and protection of vital interests. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it subject to applicable law. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully completed before withdrawal.
You may also have rights to complain to an applicable privacy or data-protection authority. Cross-border transfers will be handled using lawful transfer mechanisms where required.
Legacy Do Not Track (DNT). Because there is no universally accepted standard governing legacy browser DNT signals, our Services do not treat a DNT signal alone as a universal request to disable all tracking, except where applicable law requires a specific response.
Global Privacy Control and other opt-out preference signals. Where applicable law requires us to recognize a valid opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will process the signal as required by that law. This is separate from the choices available through our cookie-consent banner.
Our cookie-consent banner allows visitors to make choices concerning the non-essential tracking options presented by the banner and to change those choices later using the available store controls.
Martel is located in the United States. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live.
Where applicable law requires protections for international transfers, we and our providers will use legally recognized safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism as appropriate.
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, vendors, legal obligations, or Services. The effective or "last updated" date at the top identifies the current version.
If a change materially affects how we use previously collected personal information, we will provide any additional notice or obtain any additional consent required by applicable law. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

Important implementation note
This Policy describes Martel's current privacy practices based on the store configuration in effect on the date above, including Google Analytics 4 with remarketing and an enabled Ecwid cookie-consent banner. If Martel later enables additional advertising pixels, tracking codes, customer-data matching, or other materially different technologies, this Policy and the site's privacy controls should be reviewed and updated before or when those changes take effect, as required by applicable law.
