    This simple headset is the best. Not complicated or heavy and comes with an extra set of foam ear pads, which is the only thing that will wear out.

    I love my Lanier MP555 Headset w/ Volume Control. It's comfortable. My other expensive headphones gave me headaches. This Headset is even better than my $300 headphones. My other headphones rubbed on the top of my head. I can wear this Lanier MP555 Headset all day, for hours, and hours with no discomfort or irritation. I can really crank the volume up. It is discreet when I'm in depositions. It enables me to hear even soft-spoken speakers during depositions when I plug into my writer's audio. I highly recommend it.

    This is the only headset I use any more. Comfortable, and has the ability to adjust volume. The best headset I have found for transcription and also works well for viewing news items on the computer in general.

    I've been using the Lanier MP555 for about two weeks and so far it's great. I had been using some lightweight Koss headphones with thin, flat ear pieces that hook behind my ears. They were fine, but I wanted something easier to take off and put on, and the MP555 fits the bill. The audio quality is about the same as the Kosses, but with earbuds instead of cans, I can press them into my ears slightly when trying to decipher a difficult passage.
