Questions Answered Before You Order
All N One Transcription Kit FAQ
Does the Martel Transcriber Play the Original Audio Exactly as It Was Recorded?
Yes. The Martel Transcriber plays the original supported audio exactly as it was recorded. It does not degrade, convert, recompress, overwrite, or otherwise change the original file. Playback controls affect only how you listen while working.
What Comes With the Complete Kit?
The kit includes the Martel All N One transcription software, a professional three-control USB foot pedal, a transcription headset, remote PC installation assistance, and technical support.
Is the Martel Transcriber Easy to Use?
Yes. The Martel Transcriber is simple and intuitive, with clear playback and foot-pedal controls. You can begin using it right away without a complicated learning curve, and Martel can help configure the system for you.
Will Martel Install the Program for Me?
Yes. If you need help, Martel will remotely install the transcription program on a compatible Windows computer and can help configure the USB foot pedal. Installation assistance is included in the product price.
Is Technical Support Included?
Yes. Martel technical support is included if you need help with the Martel All N One Transcription Kit, its software, or the included USB foot pedal.
Is This Transcription Kit Useful for Court Reporters?
Yes. It is well suited for court reporters, scopists, proofreaders, legal transcriptionists, and other professionals who repeatedly stop, replay, slow, and review spoken audio while typing.
Can the USB Foot Pedal Be Customized?
Yes. The software provides configurable pedal controls and adjustable backward and forward step amounts so the pedal can follow your preferred transcription workflow.
Can I Slow Down Difficult Speech?
Yes. Variable-speed playback allows you to slow down or speed up what you hear while maintaining useful voice pitch. This does not change the original recording.
What Does Automatic Back-Step Do?
When playback resumes, the software can begin a short distance earlier. This lets you hear a small portion again and regain context without manually searching backward.
Will It Automatically Turn Speech Into a Completed Transcript?
No. This is a professional manual-transcription playback system. It controls the audio with software and a USB foot pedal while you type in Microsoft Word or another compatible application.
Does the Software Remove Noise or Repair Bad Audio?
No. The Martel Transcriber is a professional playback and foot-control system. It does not clean, restore, edit, or permanently change the source recording.
Can It Be Used With Audio From Court-Reporting Software?
It can play supported standard audio files. A proprietary project or internal audio-sync file may first need to be exported from the originating court-reporting application into a compatible format such as WAV or MP3.
Does It Support Opus Audio?
No. Opus audio is not supported. An Opus file may need to be exported or converted through an authorized workflow into a compatible standard audio format before transcription.
What Should I Do if I Receive an Unusual File Format?
Confirm compatibility before ordering when support for a specific unusual or proprietary file is essential. A filename extension alone may not identify the codec stored inside the recording.
Does It Work With Windows 11?
Yes. The current Martel All N One system is sold for compatible Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers.
Where Can I Review the Current Return Policy?
The current Martel return-policy information is available on the Martel Electronics 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee page.
